Directions for use

The feedwater dosage of Star Oxygen Scavenger 72120 is linked to water temperature and oxygen content You need 15ppm of product for every ppm oxygen. For example, if the system has a hotwell at 80°C, then (3ppm O2 x 15ppm product) + 1ppm residual = 46ppm of product in the water flow. Therefore, use 46ml per m3 water flow.

Underfeed of Star Oxygen Scavenger 72120 will result in serious oxygen corrosion to the boiler and feedwater system, and may also significantly increase the specific risk of very damaging pitting corrosion. The greatest damage will occur in the economizer or feedwater preheaters. Oxygen corrosion will also increase iron levels in the feedwater, which may result in iron deposits and subsequent boiler tube failures in high heat flux areas of the boiler.

Overfeed of Star Oxygen Scavenger 72120 will increase the cost of your chemical treatment program.
