We are certainly all living in unprecedented times and it would seem that the disruption to our lives will continue for some time yet.
In view of the recent announcement by the British Prime Minister regarding COVID -19 and our ongoing commitment to keeping our colleagues, customers and suppliers safe we have made the decision to follow the Government’s guidance and ask our colleagues to stay at home with the exception of an emergency service team, who will operate under the latest guidance provided by authorities.
With safety always being at the forefront of our minds in our everyday business, we recognise the importance of protecting the health and wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and business partners.
Our business continuity plan is now in place, across all of our locations, that includes measures to minimise any potential operational impact to our customers. All of our facilities are operational with remote working for office-based queries, and our warehouse colleagues will be working to complete and deliver essential orders only.
The Marine and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has issued extensions to safety equipment service intervals under (MIN 612 (M+F), this means our technicians and vessel crews will be protected until it is deemed safe to travel and be within two metres of colleagues again.
Star International is still able to supply chemicals, refrigeration gases, welding products, safety equipment and undertake emergency repairs.
As always, we would also encourage you to keep in contact with Star International if you have any urgent requests and we will endeavour to get orders out for you as quickly as possible within the capability of our emergency service procedures.
