Tom, now a fully-qualified Liferaft Service Technician here at Star International, was named Apprentice of the Year in both 2022 and 2023.
The Guild’s Annual Apprentice Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in the field of engineering.
Paul Antley, Director at Star International, said:
“We are immensely proud of Tom – this is a well-deserved award for an invaluable member of our LSA team. Since starting his apprenticeship, he has worked very hard and is a credit to the business.”
Tom follows in the footsteps of four other Star International apprentices who have been recognised as Apprentice of the Year since the business was established in 2005.
Star International is the approved service station for Liferaft Systems Australia (LSA) marine evacuation systems in the UK and Ireland. We carry out system removal, servicing, repair, installation at our service stations in Birkenhead and Southampton.
