Star Carbon Clean LT

Star Carbon Clean LT is a non-corrosive, powerful micro emulsion based cleaner for removal of carbonaceous deposits.

Star Carbon Clean LT has been developed for removal of carbon type deposits from heat exchangers, burner tips, fuel injectors and other engine parts, such as pistons, piston rings, valves, valve cages etc. Cleans carbon based deposits from fuel and lube-oil filters.

Directions for use

Soaking method

Soak overnight in a solution of 1 part Star Carbon Clean LT to 2 parts fresh water.
Light fouling will be removed in as little as 1-2 hours.
Heavy fouling will need to be soaked overnight.
No precautions are necessary to prevent loss of liquid due to the low evaporation rate, however, adequate ventilation is recommended.

Heat exchangers

Can be circulated neat for in situ cleaning. Completion time will depend on the level of fouling and may take up to 24 hours. Alternatively, dilute to 25% with water and heat to 55 C. Circulate for 12 hours, drain and flush with fresh water.
