Star Cold Wash is a concentrated blend of hydrocarbon solvents and detergents. The solvents will rapidly penetrate and dissolve oil and grease deposits whilst the detergents enable emulsification and rinsing with water. When rinsed with water, a white emulsion is formed which washes residues away easily. The product leaves a fine residual oil film which provides temporary rust protection for ferrous metals.
Formulated for use in soak tanks, it requires no heating and has a long bath life. The product may also be used by brush, swab or non-misting spray and finds widespread application for cleaning oil, grease and metal working compounds from engine components, machinery, plant, vehicles, chassis etc.
Suitable for use on all metals, glass, enamel, stone, concrete and painted surfaces. Care should be taken however with certain plastic and rubber materials, tarmac and asphalt, as these will be adversely affected.
