Find out more

Star Oxytreat 77211 is a fast-acting oxygen scavenger designed for boiler feedwater treatment, helping to control dissolved oxygen and reduce the risk of corrosion in boiler and steam systems.

Dissolved oxygen is a common cause of corrosion in boilers, feedwater lines, and associated pipework. If left untreated, it can lead to pitting, reduced equipment life, and unplanned maintenance.

The product reacts directly with dissolved oxygen in the feedwater, converting it into non-corrosive compounds and supporting effective corrosion control within the system.

Key features

  • Fast-acting oxygen scavenger for boiler feedwater systems
  • Helps reduce corrosion caused by dissolved oxygen
  • Suitable for continuous feedwater treatment
  • Designed for industrial and professional use

Typical applications

Star Oxytreat 77211 is used as part of a boiler water treatment programme to control dissolved oxygen in:

  • Boiler feedwater systems
  • Steam and condensate systems
  • Industrial and marine boiler installations

Correct application should always be based on system design, operating conditions, and water quality results.

Variants

  • 25 ltrs (00920025)

Directions for use

The feedwater dosage of Star Oxytreat 77211 will vary depending on feedwater oxygen levels, feedwater quality, and boiler operating conditions. Contact Star International for appropriate feeding and dosage recommendations for your particular application.

Consequences of overfeed

Overfeed of Star Oxytreat 77211 will increase the cost of chemical treatment.

Consequences of underfeed

Underfeed will result in oxygen corrosion within the boiler and feedwater system. The greatest damage typically occurs in the economiser.

Oxygen corrosion will also increase iron levels in the feedwater. Iron deposits can form in high heat flux areas of the boiler, potentially leading to tube failures.

Please read the Material Safety Data Sheet before using this product for detailed information on safety and health.
