Star Mariner MGO Antigel is a marine diesel fuel antiwaxing/antigel additive, formulated to counteract fuel waxing/gelling, when exposed to extreme cold winter conditions. This is a preventative maintenance product which should be applied to storage tanks before fuel is due to be exposed to cold winter conditions.
MGO Antigel should be applied to the main fuel storage tanks prior to tanks being refilled, to ensure product is completely absorbed into the fuel (the treatment mixes easily with the fuel).
Benefits
Winter grade MGO treated with Star Mariner MGO Antigel will achieve optimum cold flow properties (CFPP) of (down to) -24 degrees centigrade. Final CFPP figure may vary, as it is based on the MGO’s CFPP prior to treatment.
